The Old Pecan Street Festival and the O'Henry Pun Off

This is more like two favorite events instead of places which occured this weekend, but you get the idea.

The Old Pecan Street Festival occurs twice a year on 6th street in downtown Austin. There are street vendors galore, food (turkey legs, roasted ears of corn, all that goood stuff), cold beer (inside the bars along 6th street), live music and shows...it's a fun filled weekend for the whole family! And it really is great!

This year was the 30th anniversary for The O'Henry Pun Off which is ridiculously good groan inducing fun (get your MIND out of the Gutter!). It takes place at the O. Henry Museum in Brush Square Park located downtown at 5th and Neches. You just take a blanket or your lawn chairs and sit around enjoying the show. You can also wander on over to the festival on 6th Street as they are right next to each other every year.
